Services
Clinical Services
We provide individual, couple, and family therapy. We offer sessions in-person or online; both types are charged at the same rate. Our first session with clients is called an intake and lasts 60 minutes; subsequent appointments range from 45+ to 60+ minutes.
We treat a wide range of problems and concerns, including: relationship problems and family distress, depression, anxiety, trauma, supporting families as they navigate divorce, faith crisis/transition/transformation, pregnancy loss, obsessive and compulsive behaviors/disorders, parenting, sex therapy, coping with chronic disease, premarital counseling, and more.
Additionally, we offer couples intensive therapy sessions. For more information on these, please see the bottom of this page.
Rates and Billing
We deeply value transparency and clarity for our clients when it comes to the cost of therapy. If you have any questions at all about rates, insurance, or affordability options, please reach out to us, and we would be happy to answer any questions.
Fees
We charge $200 for the first session; after that, sessions are $175 for 60 minutes and $125 for 45 minutes. These rates may be adjusted by insurance when claims are submitted. We also may accept payment from third-party payers; in such situations, the client(s) must sign a release of information authorizing us to communicate with the third party regarding payment details.
Insurance Pay
We are currently in-network with Wellmark/Blue Cross Blue Shield. If you have Wellmark/Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance, it is important that you understand the details of your plan–some might have no co-pay at all, others might be responsible for paying the entire therapy charge until you have reached your deductible. We encourage you to contact your insurance company to determine how therapy services are covered by your plan.
Wellmark/Blue Cross Blue Shield is the only insurance company with whom we are currently in-network. For other insurance carriers, we can provide you with necessary documentation (e.g., Superbill) if you choose to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
Out-of-Pocket or HSA Pay
Clients may pay for services out of pocket and/or using their Health Savings Account (HSA) funds (so long as there is a mental health diagnosis associated with your case). We are happy to provide requested documentation to support HSA payment.
No Surprises Act
If you pay for healthcare without healthcare coverage or certain types of coverage, providers are required by law to provide you with an estimate of the bill for healthcare services and/or items before those services and/or items are provided.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any health care items or services upon request or when scheduling such items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
If you schedule a health care item or service at least 3 business days in advance, make sure your health care provider or facility gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing within 1 business day after scheduling. If you schedule a health care item or service at least 10 business days in advance, make sure your health care provider or facility gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing within 3 business days after scheduling. You can also ask any health care provider or facility for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you do, make sure the health care provider or facility gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing within 3 business days after you ask.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more for any provider or facility than your Good Faith Estimate from that provider or facility, you can dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate and the bill.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises/consumers, email FederalPPDRQuestions@cms.hhs.gov, or call 1- 800-985-3059
Couples Intensive Retreats
Some couples find it valuable to do couple intensives, wherein a couple does a day or a weekend of intensive couple therapy, receiving 6-8 hours of therapy in a single day. These services are not covered by insurance.
If you are interested in determining if an intensive might be an indicated treatment approach for your relational concerns, please speak to your therapist. Details regarding dates, format, state of the research for this approach, and cost will be discussed.
